The MacPhersons Project (MRP) tenements encompass the Hampton ultramafic sequence on the southern limb of the Tindals anticline and is bound by the Lindsays Basalt to the West and Gleesons Basalt to the East. The Hampton Ultramafic sequence hosts several historic mines including Surprise, Barbara, Shirl , 28 Pit, Noble 5 (SBS Group –Northern Star). The main MacPhersons Reward and A-Cap deposits are hosted within an intrusive Tonalite along the western Mafic-Ultramafic contact.

A reported 60k ounces at a grade of 2.94g/t was mined between 1897-1989 from the relatively shallow open pit and historic shafts at MacPhersons Reward which includes several smaller high-grade lodes within the host intrusive tonalite. Limited records exist from mining. Since 1989 the ground has undergone several phases of exploration by smaller companies, mostly targeting MacPhersons Reward, Tycho, Pumphreys and historic prospects of Franks Find and Bakers Find. Several gold in soil anomalies and historic prospects such as Queenslander, Quartzite, Carn Brea and Creswick have had limited to no modern exploration conducted.

Mining of the MacPhersons Reward and A-Cap Deposits begun in 2023 and are now scheduled for completion in early 2026. During extraction Beacon Minerals successfully increased both the Reserve and Pit life through targeted grade control drilling. The project remains highly prospective with potential resource growth both within the MacPhersons Reward-A Cap complex and the neighbouring deposits of Tycho, Pumphreys and Queenslander.
